What Are Your Dreams? Create a Dream Board!

by Jill Shea on November 13, 2009

Endless PoolWhat’s your dream?  NOW is the time to get a crystal clear picture of exactly why you are doing what you’re doing.  Get very specific.  How much money do you want or need to make with this business on a monthly basis?  When you make that specific amount of money, what will be different in your life one year from now?  How much time can you invest DAILY to reach your goals and dreams?  Why are you doing this?

Have you heard of a ‘Dream Board’?  This is FUN!!!  It’s a  simple way to get your thoughts on paper AND get your friends and family involved.  Simply take all those catalogs and magazines and spend an hour with your family and/or friends finding pictures of things you dream of accomplishing or having; it could be a picture of a vacation destination, new car, new home, new furniture, a picture of a family around the dinner table if you want more family time, get creative and even include or write positive words on the board.  I call these “I Am” statements.  I am ______  (you fill in the blank here).  It could be … I am financially free!  I am helping others make a positive change in their life!   Enjoy the time visualizing what you’ll do with your business income and how it will make a difference in your life.  Then put the dream board somewhere in your home where you can see it daily.

When you put your goals and dreams on paper it’s a constant reminder of why you do what you do.  At some point you will hit an obstacle and you need that inspiration to keep moving forward.  ALWAYS remember your why.

Here’s 3 tips to live your dream life:

  1. Have a compelling dream
  2. Enroll others in it (your family & friends)
  3. Take Action!

How about you?  Do you have a dream board or other ideas you’d like to share?  I’d love to read your comments below!

Love & Success,

Jill Shea
